Come and explore the entire Buck Gully Reserve trail system. Beginning from the Oasis Senior Center, we’ll hike up through the almost 3 mile length of the canyon, then along San Joaquin Hills Road for a bit, stopping at Canyon Watch Park where we will take in the panoramic view of the reserve and the Pacific coastline before descending back into the canyon along the Bobcat Trail. Please bring water, a light trail snack, sturdy closed-toe shoes and supplies to keep you safe during the journey. Sunscreen and a hat are highly recommended.

PLEASE NOTE: Poison oak grows in abundance throughout the entire Buck Gully Reserve trail system.

Clark Regional Park hosts a walk-up interpretive activity area located outside on the Interpretive Center patio. If inclement weather conditions then activity is set-up inside Interpretive Center. This program is open to all visitors from 1pm-3pm. Recommended for ages 7 and above.

Are the regular cardio hikes a little too fast for you? If so, join us on this slower cardio hike that incorporates a little more interpretation. Explore beautiful Weir Canyon on this cardio hike. Along the trail, you’ll pass through coastal sage scrub, grasslands, and oak woodlands. Multiple steep climbs and descents are included. Enjoy views of Saddleback Peak and the Cleveland National Forest along the way.

Remember, even though this is a slower cardio hike, it is still faster than a walk. You must be able to go the entire time without stopping. Please make sure you are in excellent physical condition!
