The Community Digitizing Day at the Old Orange County Courthouse on Saturday, September 17, 2016, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm will provide the public with the opportunity to get their historical photos and documents digitized for free. We are encouraging the public to bring any and all items related to the history of OC Parks as well as other items more generally related to the history of Orange County.

Ranger Reserves will patrol the park and help ensure the safety of the digitizing equipment as well as aid in directing the public to the correct digitizing station.

Join us for this combination hiking and yoga program in Bommer Canyon. Participants will hike around a 1-mile loop, strolling through the local meadow and finding unity within nature. Then we will return to our yoga mats where we will be led in 45 to 60 minutes of guided yoga, as the canyon slowly warms up to the day.  Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a durable yoga mat to rest on the dirt. An extra blanket or padding is highly recommended. Some mornings are chilly, so dress in layers. Remember to wear sun protection for the hike such as a hat and sunscreen.

Do a good deed, get a dose of Nature, and learn about the plants around you, all at once! Come experience the cool mornings and the spicy aromas of a California autumn while working with us at our one-of-a-kind Native Seed Farm in Irvine. Absolutely no experience or special equipment required.

You will be harvesting seeds from robust native fall wildflowers and bushes— things like California Buckwheat and our iconic Sagebrush. Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-1 activity on the land.
