Come search for evidence that animals leave behind in nature. Mule deer, bobcat, coyote and even mountain lion call this hidden canyon home. Gain the basic tracking techniques as we search for evidence such as tracks, fur, bones, homes and even scat. You never know what you may find! Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting a little dusty. This program is focused for older children and adults.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-2 activity on the land.

What lurks beneath our boots?  A whole amazing world to explore!  The soil is teeming with life: from fluffy mammals to slimy worms to tiny microbes.   Learn some neat stuff about this hidden, but vital part of our world, then get up-close and personal with real live earthworms, and go for a Bommer burrow tour.

This program is a perfect afternoon adventure for children ages 6 – 10 years of age. We will spend time exploring our program’s topic, maybe create a craft or play a game, before we head out on the trails to practice what we learned. Our hike will be a gentle one mile trek along uneven terrain. Off road strollers are welcome to join the fun!

Parents or guardians must register themselves and their child(ren).
