Join Laguna Canyon Foundation and the Sawdust Festival staff at the Berns Canyon Preserve as we learn about our native ecosystems and how we might explore them through art. This month’s program will feature a short, guided meditation and instruction on painting a watercolor landscape. This beginner class is perfect for those interested in exploring watercolor landscapes using watercolor-colored pencils. We will learn how to sketch and layer color with pencils, then activate the pigment with water to create soft, painterly effects. We’ll cover basic techniques like shading, blending, and creating texture, all while working on a simple, scenic landscape. No experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and creativity!
