Please join us to enjoy a beautiful spring day during this unique special event exclusively for volunteers and their guests at George Key Ranch Historic Park: a historic house, museum, garden and orange grove nestled in a Placentia neighborhood.
To begin the event, The Master Food Preservers of Orange County will be demonstrating how to make and preserve berry jam! The demonstration will begin at 1:00 pm and will last approximately one hour — feel free to drop in anytime throughout the process to observe and ask questions.
Stroll through the beautiful gardens at your leisure throughout the event, and enjoy a fascinating site tour of the grounds with OC Parks Historic Curators at 2:00 pm.
Light refreshments will be provided, but volunteers and guests are also encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and blanket to enjoy on the lawn in front of the George Key Ranch Historic House.
Parking is available first come, first served on the street in the neighborhood next to the historic site. Carpooling is encouraged! Limited ADA parking will also be available – please reach out to volunteer@ocparks.com for more information.
Reservations are required as space is limited! If you need to cancel your reservation, please make sure to do so as early as possible to allow for other attendees to join the event.
Please note: this listing is for the PM Session. To register for the AM session (10:30 am – 12:30 pm) please click the link below:
